We're looking for used hospital equipment such as a stainless steel examination table; basic emergency room items such as band-aids, alcohol, tape, gauze & bandages, a supply of basic drugs like aspirin, anti-biotics, cold & flu medicines, and any other items you might find in an emergency room. Perhaps you're a nurse or doctor that works at a hospital that has some older equipment that is not being used and can be donated.

If you are unable to make actual donations, you can still help the kids at the Marsh Home. If you are a professional doctor or nurse, or perhaps an EMT, you could compile a list of medical equipment, medical instruments, prescription drugs and necessary items for an potential medical emergency. Perhaps such life saving drugs that counteract the effects of a possible food allergy.  Plus, any medications and / or anti-venom treatments for children who may be allergic to bee stings or a potential sting from a scorpion. We would like to have these items "on-hand" and ready for any possible emergency.

In 2014, the Municipality of Bonfil began it's own non-profit Symphony Orchestra. It was an immediate hit! Members of the community came to the Marsh Home and asked if any of the children would like to get involved. Many of the children got very excited when seeing and touching their first musical instruments. They were invited to join the Bonfil Symphony Orchestra, which meets every Saturday for two hours to practice. Seven of our children immediately joined and have been learning how to play music ever since. Now, many more are interested in joining in the fun.

If you have any type of musical instrument that you are no longer using and would like to donate it to a child at the Marsh Children's Home, please let us know. We'll accept just about any type of woodwind instrument, including: saxophones, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, tubas, trombones flutes & recorders. We'll also accept any type of percussion instruments, such as: tambourines, bongos, congas, marimbas, xylophones, tablas, wood blocks, gongs, bass drums, snare drums and didgeridoos, too!

Please click on the play button on the video below to watch an inspired group of children from the Marsh Home playing an informal concert in the dining area. They really Love to play together and are getting better every day. Plus, the other children Love to hear the music and it is a nice way for the kids to relax after dinner and long day of school and completing their homework and chores. Please consider making a donation of a musical instrument. It will bring tremendous joy into the lives of these amazing children.

We are currently looking for a special donor who will help provide us with a financial donation to install solar panels on our rooftop. This will lower our monthly operating expenses and make the Marsh Children's Home more self-sufficient while simultaneously helping to protect the environment.
