One great way to Join Us in enriching the lives of the 80+ children at the Marsh Home is to Sponsor an Event. The children work hard, studying at school and then coming home and doing their assigned chores before relaxing in the evening. Achievement is one of the 4 Principles at the Marsh Home. But kids gotta be kids, too!

An outing or catered event at the Marsh Home is a marvillous way to help the kids undwind a bit and have some fun. Whether it is an afternoon at the movies, a catered event by Tacos Tarascos, Dominoes Pizza for 80+ kids, an afternoon at El Rollo Waterpark, or a Picnic at Acapulco's most lovely beach — Isla Roqueta, we are always looking for an excuse to let the children have some fun.

Please consider sponsoring one of the following events. Nothing is more beautiful and the smiles and laughter of children. We know you'll be glad you did. After all, LOVE is contagious!

Treat the kids to a full day of fun, games and swimming on one of the safest, most lovely beach in Acapulco. On southern-most part of Acapulco, a 10 minute boat ride from Playa Caleta, lies the magical Roqueta Island. One of Acapulcos most cherished treasures.

The beach at Roqueta Island is clean, safe environment where the kids can romp, swim, explore and play to their heart's content! A round trip private boat ride for 80+ children costs approximately $250 dollars. Add the cost of picnic - sandwiches, chips and sodas - $200 dollars.

A trip to Cinépolis, just a five minute drive in our bus, is a fantastic treat for the children at the Marsh Home. For a $400 donation, we will buy tickets, popcorn and a soda for the 80+ kids. It's a wonderful way to escape those hot summer afternoons in Acapulco. It gives the kids a chance to catch a flick and enjoy some nice, cool, air-conditioning!

Sponsor a Taco Feast for the kids at the Marsh Children's Home. If you find yourself visiting Acapulco (or not), you can sponsor a catered event of Tacos al Pastor — from Tacos Tarascos. Your sponsorship dollars will pay for two employees from Tarascos who will drive a van out to the Marsh Home, set up a vertical grill, cook and serve the tacos to the children.

Of course it comes with all the sides for a traditional Mexican Taco Feast. Onion, Cilantro, 3 types of salsas and all the fresh, hot corn tortillas you can eat. Yummy!

For a donation of $425 dollars, we can make sure the kids get all the Tacos al Pastor they can eat, accompanied with soda, and even Choco-Flan for desert!

"El Rollo" Waterpark, formerly called "Cici's" is one of the children's favorite places to visit — and one of Acapulco's most visited and beloved attractions. For the past 10 years, "Amigos de Acapulco" has invited the kids — once each summer — to an afternoon at the waterpark. There are several different types of waterslides, a Wave Pool, an Island for Infants and so much more. There is even a show where you can Swim with the Dolphins. The Kids just love it!

We recently talked with the managment of El Rollo, and he is willing to offer us a 75% discount on the normal price of $230 pesos per child. The normal ticket price for 80 children is nearly $1,000 USD. We can get 80 tickets for only What a deal!

This price does not include snacks or soft drinks. If you'd like to treat the kids to soft drinks too, add $25.

The Marsh Kids just LOVE pizza from Domino's. For the children, Domino's Pizza is a real treat. We estimate that each child will eat at least three slices of pizza and drink two glasses of soda.

For Sodas, we buy 2 liter bottles of "Jarritos" that come in packs of 6. Each pack costs around $106 pesos. It takes 4 of these packs for drinks for a meal for the 80 kids. This is approximately $25 dollars.

To feed 80 kids, at three slices each, we need around 40 pizzas at $150 pesos each. That comes out to be around $350 dollars.

Releasing baby Sea Turtles into the Pacific Ocean is an absolutely beautiful and unforgettable experience. Back in 2013?, Guillermo from Acapulco Sea Turtle Conservancy ?? invited to the children at the Marsh Home to the beach in front of the Acapulco Princess Hotel to experience this for themselves.

On that day, the kids from the Marsh Home released over 80 baby Sea Turtles into the ocean. What an exciting time it was for the kids. If you would like to see a photo of this event, please visit our Events section.

We believe it is important to teach the children the importance of caring for the Environment — not only the land, sea and air — but also caring for all the creatures that inhabit our planet. We teach the children to be good stewards to the environment and to respect all the species that inhabit the earth. After all, the children are our future!
